Where do the email addresses come from?

PeopleSearch aggregates publicly available professional data — company websites, public directories, business registries, and social profiles. When an email is associated with a public profile, it appears in search results.

What exactly does verification check?

Six things: syntax validity, domain existence, MX record configuration, SMTP mailbox status, disposable-provider detection, and common typos. The whole process takes about two seconds.

Will every search return an email?

No. Email availability depends on what's publicly associated with a person's professional presence. Some profiles include one, some include several, and some have none. We show what's available.

What's a disposable email?

A temporary address from a provider like Mailinator or 10MinuteMail. People use them to sign up for things without giving out their real email. They usually stop working within hours. Our tool flags these automatically.

Is this compliant with GDPR?

Yes. We only surface publicly available information. The verification tool processes addresses in real time without permanent storage. Users can request data removal at any time through our contact page

How often is contact data updated?

We re-index public sources on a rolling basis. High-demand profiles and recently active records are refreshed more frequently. That said, public data changes constantly — we recommend verifying an email before sending if the profile hasn't been viewed recently.

Can I search by company instead of a person's name?

Yes. Type a company name into the search bar and browse the employee directory. You can filter by job title or department to find the right contact.

What happens if verification says "catch-all"?

A catch-all domain accepts email sent to any address at that domain — even made-up ones. This means the server won't reject an invalid mailbox during our check. The email might still be valid, but we can't confirm it with certainty.

Is there a limit to how many emails I can verify?

Verification is included with your subscription and subject to fair-use limits. For most users, this means hundreds of verifications per day without any issue.

Do you support personal emails (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.)?

The verification tool works with any email address — personal or professional. However, the email finder feature on profiles primarily surfaces work emails since we focus on professional data sources.
